DDP is a platform that allows third-party data providers to create/license segments for clients using the Google Ad technology products like DFP (Doubleclick for Publishers) or DBM (Doubleclick Bid Manager). Once the segments are licensed, then the Publishers/Advertisers can use those segments while targeting their campaigns.

In terms of data leakage, Google only has access to the user IDs (Ad IDs, cookies) and does not know what data is mapped to those IDs. Therefore, Google never has access to the data.
For the clients who use the lists, Google does not allow them to download those lists. Therefore, they also do not have the access to the data mapped to the user IDs.
Creating a Destination for Google DDP
Google DDP is a private Channel. Perform the following steps to create a Destination for Google DDP:
- Log into Unity and go to the DESTINATIONS application.
- Under the All Channels section, search for Google Marketing Platform (DDP).
- Click Google Marketing Platform (DDP) and enter the following details in the window that appears:
- Enter a name for the Destination.
- Enter the Seat ID number on which the client has requested the Segment.
- Select the appropriate Product Type that the Seat ID belongs to. ADX_BUYER --- To be updated
For a Publisher select DFP_BY_GOOGLE
For an Advertiser select INVITE_ADVERTISER For an Agency select INVITE_PARTNER GOOGLE_RESELLER --- To be updated ADWORDS --- To be updated
- Select the appropriate Currency value.
- Click Save Destination.
