Channel Type - Private Products Supported - Connect Integration Type - 1P
This integration allows us to send audience membership information of the first-party users to Google Analytics(GA). The integration is only live for Connect. We send the GA Client IDs as user IDs as part of this integration.
Creating a Destination for Google Analytics
Perform the following steps to create a Destination for Google Analytics(GA):
- Log into Unity and go to the DESTINATIONS application.
- Under the All Channels section, search for Google Analytics.
- Click Google Analytics and enter the following details in the window that appears.
- Enter a name for the Destination.
- Enter the Tracking ID number on which the client has requested the .
Click Save Destination.
Setting up a new property for one time
Perform the following steps to set up a new property for one time:
- Log in to the GA account.
- Go to Admin > Create Property.
- Enter a Property Name and then click Show Advanced Options.
- Select the Create a Universal Analytics property toggle and provide the website URL that you want to track (You can still track multiple sites using the same property if you like).
Select Create a Universal Analytics property only.
- Provide your Business information and then click Create. The UA property is created.
- Click the drop-down menu in the Property section and search for the property name that you have just created. Select the property name as it appears in the search.
- Click the Property Settings option. It displays a section on the right side with all the relevant info about the property. Search for the Tracki ng ID and copy the details.
