Allow-listing of Advertiser Account for CMU:
Once an advertiser has agreed to participate in the CMU Service, they will need to work directly with their Google Account Manager (AM) to submit a allow-listing request for the advertiser’s account(s).
Mapping CMU-uploaded lists to Advertiser Accounts:
Next, the Google AM will request the advertisers account to be mapped to their Google Ads Advertiser ID(‘Destination ID’) to the CMU API (Partner ID). The advertiser and Google AM will need to complete the following steps :
- Google AM to send advertiser an email permission request, to which the client replies “On behalf of my company, I agree”. ***The email permission needs to come from whoever owns the Google Ads account (this may be the client or the Agency).***
- Google AM uploads PDF of advertiser’s consent response (include full email) to Google Drive and sends to CMU Service support alias.
- Google AM completes an advertiser mapping request via our internal tool. ***Please allow 24 hrs for mapping to be completed.***
- Google AM will receive an email from CMU Service support alias and follows next steps outlined in email.
Once the account is approved, client can then come to Unity and create a Customer Match destination . Unity requires the following fields for destination creation:
Adwords Account ID (of the client) App ID
MObile App Platform
If the client does not have a app of their own and do not plan to upload MAIDs using this integration they can set App ID to NA
Please note: This integration is only available for Connect and is available for MAIDs and hashed email IDs. We are legally not allowed to add any extensions for MAID based segments so MAID uploads are only allowed if they are 1P and are onboarded by the client. Applying extensions is allowed for hashed email IDs.
