תקציר המאמר

Obtain the following information from the Adobe customer looking to onboard our data as first-party data. The Adobe customer may choose to involve their Adobe AAM consultant in this process (AAM = Adobe Audience Manager).

Trait IDs

The AAM customer creates Traits within the Data Source container mentioned above.

These Traits represent the segments that the users will belong to. This step is also known as setting up the "taxonomy".

The AAM customer and the onboarding partner must agree on the IDs used to represent each Trait. These Trait IDs are used by the AAM customer to set up the Trait Rule and by the onboarding partner when creating the data files.

The steps to create a Trait are documented here.

Therefore, the Adobe customer looking to onboard our data must create the following: A Data Source for Zeotap in their AAM UI

All the segments(traits) in their AAM UI

The Adobe customer then shares the Data Source ID and Trait IDs of all the segments they want to onboard. By using these, Zeotap can set up data transfer to their Adobe account.

Data Source ID

A Data Source is a container that holds data within the AAM platform. Reach out to the AAM customer to create a Data Source within their instance of the AAM UI.

The AAM must provide you with the Data Source ID (an integer). For example, 1234567.

This Data Source ID is part of the file name when sending the onboarded data.

The steps to create a Data Source is documented here.

Direct the AAM customer to perform the following steps when creating a Data Source:

  1. Set ID Type to Cookie (not to worry, non-cookie data can still be transferred)
  2. Under Data Source Settings, make the following selections: Select the Inbound box

Select Customer ID for recognizing users. This means the onboarding partner's user ID can be used in the data files.

Creating a Segment for Adobe DMP

The following steps summarize the process of linking a Segment to a Destination:

  1. Log into Unity to create a Segment from the TARGETING application.
  2. To activate the Segment, search for the Adobe DMP Destination that you created and link the same.
  3. Remember to enter the Price for activating the Segment.

To create segments for Cannada or India, reach out to the Product Team.
