Channel Type - Both Private and Public Products Supported - Targeting and Connect Integration Type - 3P

The following are two ways to use Zeotap's data through the AppNexus DSP:

AppNexus Data Marketplace Integration – The AppNexus Data Marketplace enables buy-side clients to buy second and third-party data from a variety of Data Partners. The usage of the Data Marketplace is covered in the AppNexus DSP agreement. AppNexus takes care of data usage reporting, as well as billing directly with the DSP client.

AppNexus DMP Integration – This integration is primarily intended for DMPs to push their client's first-party data to their client's AppNexus seat. There is no automated data usage reporting or billing, which makes an additional Data Usage Agreement necessary.

In both cases, our data is considered third-party data by clients, as opposed to the Google DMP integration where our data would look like first-party data.

Creating a Destination for AppNexus

AppNexus can be both private and public Channels. Perform the following steps to create a Destination for AppNexus:

1. Log into Unity and go to the DESTINATIONS application.
2. Under the All Channels section, search for AppNexus.
3. Click AppNexus and enter the following details in the window that appears.
   1. Enter a name for the Destination.
   2. Enter the Seat ID number on which the client has requested the Segment.
   3. By default, a private destination is created for AppNexus. If you want to make it a public destination, then select the Make this a Public Destination checkbox. A public destination is only visible to the Zeotap users. Note that external users can only create private destinations. A segment cannot have both private and public destinations for AppNexus.
   4. Click Save Destination.

For every segment created for a public Destination, Zeotap recommends that you use the existing Destination named as …….

Creating a Segment for AppNexus

The following steps summarize the process of linking a Segment to a Destination:

1. Log into Unity to create a Segment from the TARGETING application.
2. To activate the Segment, search for the AppNexus Destination that you created and link the same.
3. If you want to make the Segment a public one, then select the Make this a Public Destination checkbox.
4. Select the appropriate Data Category. This Data Category is applied across all the AppNexus destinations selected for the segment. Once a segment is created it cannot be changed.
