In this lesson, we will be using some keyboard shortcuts to do some tasks like Center, Bold, Align Right, etc.
- Start with a new blank document. Press Enter once. Create a table with 4 columns and 6 rows
- Select the entire first row and merge the cells
- Position the cursor in the first row and press Enter once.
- Press Ctrl-E (This centers the cursor in the row).
Press Ctrl-B (This on Bold)
Press Ctrl/Shift-> 6 times (This changes the font size to 24 point) - Now type COLEMAN CORPORATION
- Select the entire 2nd row
Press Ctrl-E (Center this row)
Press Ctrl-B (Bold this row)

- Select cells A3 through A6
Press Ctrl-E (Center these cells)
Select cells B3 through D6
Press Ctrl-R (Align Right these cells)- Type in the text as shown in the table below.

Insert a formula
- Position the cursor in cell D3 (the cell below Net Profit).
- Click on Table in the Menu Bar, then click on Formula.
- In the white box below Formula: delete the formula. Type the following formula: =B3-C3
- Click on the down-pointing arrow at the right side of the Number format box and then click the 3rd option from the top.
- Press Enter (you can also click OK).
- Insert the formula =B4-C4 using steps 12 through 16 in cells except click the 2nd option in the Number format drop-down list.
- Insert the formula =B5-C5 using steps 12 through 16 in cells except click the 2nd option in the Number format drop-down list.
- Insert the formula =B6-C6 using steps 12 through 16 in cells except click the 2nd option in the Number format drop-down list.
- Add outside double border and shading in the 2nd row of the table as shown in the table above.
Print the table.
