Segment Creation

Segment creation is a manual process for Lotame. For segment creation in Unity, we would be adding a price field(mandatory) and a Seat ID field (optional) so that external users can raise a segment creation request as well. Once the segments have been created, the taxonomy needs to be shared with the Lotame team through [email protected] in the attached format.

Lotame team will create a Branded hierarchy within our account and then categorize our segments(behaviors) into that so that they can be used by clients in audiences. Once the segments have been set up by their team, the corresponding price would be updated. Lotame exposes the branded segments to a set list of clients by default, so these segments are essentially public segments. We can ask the Lotame team to blacklist particular clients for a set of segments while sending the taxonomy. For custom segments that has to be piped directly to another client's seat (known as Syndicate), this would have to be done on a case-by-case basis and has to be communicated via email.
