Segments
Liverp allows 2 types of segment creation: Private segments and Public Segments. Public segments are those which are visible in Liverp data store to all buyers having access to Liverp data store. These buyers can only see the segments but can not buy without our approval. Private segments are those which are visible only to specific destinations for which they are created. Segment creation is automated through Unity but segment created once can not be edited. Please reach out to your Ts if any editing in segments is required.
There is a manual approval process on Liverp side once the segment is created by zeotap. The segment may take upto 1 business day to be live on Liverp post which it can be licensed.
Pricing of Segments and Reporting
Here, the pricing is at segment level (ONE SEGMENT ONE PRICE) and sent to Liverp at segment creation time. Se segment can not have different price for different clients. Pricing is in USD.
Offline reporting is shared by Liverp only 30 days after the completion of the month. So, report for August will come by 30th September. There is no way to know how much are we earning on Liverp and on what segments before this.
Distribution Channels and Distribution Accounts
The segments (private or public) once pushed to Liverp Data Store, needs to be licensed to clients before they can use it. Without giving access, the clients can not use the segments. While creating a private segment, distribution channel needs to be selected where the segment needs to be available (for exple TTD, DDP, Mediath etc.). But for Licensing, the segment needs to be licensed to Distribution Accounts which needs to be separately configured (please reach out to your Ts for 1st time licensing to an account). Distribution Account is the client account within a specific distribution Channel and id type to be exported. So, for exple, if you want to export 2 segments to Carat P&p;G USA TTD Account where one needs to have only cookies but other needs to have all devices, you will need to create 2 separate Distribution accounts with different export id configurations.
Once a Distribution Account is created and a segment licensed to that account, it will start coming in Unity License section and next segments to that Distribution Account can be licensed from Unity itself.
Only once you have licensed a segment to a distribution account, you will be able to see the extension scale of the segment by Liverp. It might take up to 7 days to populate after the segment has been licensed successfully.
